Korean Class at KEC
뉴질랜드 한국교육원에서는 매주 주중 저녁 시간(6:00-8:00)에 뉴질랜드 거주 성인 외국인을 대상으로 수준별 한국어 강좌와 서예 강좌를 무료로 운영하고 있습니다. 자세한 내용은 게시물을 참고하시기 바랍니다.

 ◎ Eligibility: 

   - New Zealand citizens and Residents (not a Native Korean) residing 

     in New Zealand (for Uni. and Adults students only)   


 ◎ Operation course: 

   - Korean Language Class


 ◎ Course details: 

   - 8 Korean language classes are divided into 5 levels, and each level has one

    or two groups. 

     ※ Level Guide:

   <Introductory> first learners who are interested in Korean language

                           curriculum of Sejong 1A (from Korean alphabet up to present-past tense)

   <Beginner>    applicants who have completed Sejong 1A or equivalent  

                             curriculum of Sejong 1B & 2A (Lesson 1-6)

   <Intermediate> applicants who have completed Sejong 1B & 2A (Lesson 1-6) or equivalent  

                                curriculum of Sejong 2A (Lesson 7-12) & 2B

   <Advanced A> applicants who have completed Sejong 2A (Lesson 7-12) & 2B or equivalent  

                              curriculum of Sejong 3A & 3B (Lesson 1-6)

    <Advanced B> (Intensive-online) 

                                       applicants who have completed Sejong 3B (Lesson 7-12) & 4A or equivalent  

   - KEC runs all levels of classes both on-line and off-line on different days.

                           

 ◎ Place and Time:

   - Location: Korean Education Center in New Zealand (Level 7, 63Albert St. Auckland CBD) 


   - Period: Semester-system (approximately 20 weeks, six months for each semester)


   - Time: Every Monday to Friday, once a week for about 2 hours (6:00-8:00 pm.)

  <Notice for the Application for 2024 Semester 1>

    

 Kia Ora applicants,

 Thank you for your ongoing interest in and passion for the Korean language class at KEC.

 Please find further information and changes to apply for next year's Korean class.


 1. The course will be run based on the semester system.

   So, one semester consists of 20 weeks, roughly 6 months, which means the application will be open only twice a year for two semesters, not termly.

 

 2. The application for next semester 1 is open on 8 December 2023 (2:00 pm~) and will be closed on 29 December 2023.

  Applicants will get a confirmation email by 21 January 2024 once the application is accepted.

     

 3. Please ensure that only the applications submitted within the application period (08 December~29 December 2023) will be considered eligible.

  

 4. From next semester, you can use your textbook in the class for your efficiency: For that, please tick a textbook on the application form if you prefer to use the textbook.

    However, only the applicants who get a confirmation email will receive the bank account details, and all the payments must be completed by 26 January 2024.

 

5. The first class (Semester 1) begins on 5 February 2024 (not confirmed yet) and finishes on 5 July 2024.
